Vintage Rossi 18K Yellow Gold Turquoise & Lapis Bird Brooch

A mid-century figural brooch by Rossi, in solid 18K yellow gold and beautifully animated with an array of turquoise cabochons and a single lapis eye.
This piece depicts a bird perched on a textured branch, wings engraved and rendered with lively detail, even the beak is open, imparting an expressive, almost whimsical character.
The bird’s body is set with fine turquoise cabochons, each prong set and graduated to follow the form. A single blue lapis lazuli cabochon is prong set as the eye.
