Born in Japan and raised in West Los Angeles, Lisa is a third-generation antique dealer with a deep love for the history and artistry behind every piece of jewelry. She studied jewelry design and metalsmithing in Florence, Italy—a city known for its rich traditions in craftsmanship—and has spent over 20 years immersed in the jewelry industry, with experience spanning sales, manufacturing, gemology, and antiquities purchasing.

As a third-generation dealer in the antique trade, Lisa’s passion for vintage jewelry is rooted in her family history. Her grandmother owned a beloved Los Angeles antique shop, Aunt Ida’s, where Lisa got her first taste of vintage treasures. Her father, a respected diamond expert with over forty years in the business, provided mentorship and guidance that further honed her eye and integrity as a jeweler.

Through Aska Artisans, Lisa brings together generations of experience and a global perspective. She has cultivated a distinct niche in sourcing and dealing antique and vintage jewelry from around the world, with a particular focus on mid-century Italian and French design and color gemstone pieces that celebrate artistry, rarity, and soul.
