A Rolex Art Deco square-case watch in eighteen-karat yellow gold, hand-wound and dating to the 1930s. Its white dial combines baton and dot indices beneath the signed Rolex crown, set within a stepped case on a fourteen-karat gold open-link bracelet added in the 1940s. The square case reflects the clean geometric lines Art Deco design brought to watches of the era, a departure from the rounder cases that came before. It sits close and flat on the wrist, with the open-link bracelet giving a bit more flexibility than a solid band. Engraved Wilma Jeannine, it was clearly loved and will be loved again.
