Twenty-four round-cut topaz in vivid blue, 4.68 carats in total, fill the face of this 14-karat yellow gold cluster pendant. Shared prongs hold the stones tight against one another, leaving the gold to read as a thin outline around the color. Topaz cleaves cleanly in a single direction, so it is cut and set with that plane in mind. It hangs from a slim box chain and falls just below the collarbone, with the scale to carry an open neckline on its own.
