A green jasperware cameo with a white classical figure in relief sits bezel-set in this vintage 14-karat yellow gold ring. A rope-twist frame circles the plaque, and engraved crosshatch panels taper down the shoulders. Jasperware gets its white relief from separately molded pieces applied to the colored body before firing. The long oval face spans much of the finger while sitting low and close to the hand, making it a statement ring that wears easily.
