Art Deco Old Mine Cut Diamond & Emerald Halo Ring in Platinum
Circa 1920
An exquisite example of early Art Deco craftsmanship, this platinum ring centers on a beautifully proportioned old mine cushion cut diamond, framed by a vivid emerald halo that captures the bold geometry of the 1920s.
The 1.02 carat elongated old mine cut diamond measures approximately 6.5 x 5.5mm and is bezel set in platinum with delicate hand-applied milgrain detailing. Graded H/I color and I1 clarity, the diamond faces up bright and lively, displaying the romantic facet pattern and soft brilliance characteristic of antique cushion cuts.
Encircling the center stone are 18 square French-cut emeralds in a rich, vivid green hue. The emeralds are expertly channel set in a precise halo, creating striking contrast against the white platinum and enhancing the architectural symmetry synonymous with the Art Deco period.
Twelve round diamonds are pavé set along the platinum shank, adding refined brilliance and completing the design with balance and sophistication.
