A deep purple pear-shaped amethyst, approximately 10 carats total across two stones, anchors this antique 14-karat yellow gold lavalière pendant from the Edwardian era. The main amethyst sits in a sculpted bezel surrounded by chased leaf-scroll goldwork, beneath a bow motif bail set with old mine-cut diamonds; a second smaller pear amethyst drops freely below on an articulated connection. Old mine-cut diamonds accent both the bail and the single connector link between the stones. The lavalière's vertical drop format and botanical goldwork are hallmarks of Edwardian design from the early 1900s. It suspends on an alternating-link yellow gold chain and wears as a dressed piece — the pendant length and the swinging lower amethyst give it natural movement.
