A Movado Art Deco diamond cocktail watch in fourteen-karat white gold, dating to the 1920s and powered by the caliber "1918 Movado", a seventeen-jewel Swiss manual movement adjusted to two positions. The oval case is framed by a diamond-set bezel, and a trefoil cluster of round brilliant diamonds anchors each lug, transitioning into an integrated bracelet with bezel-set diamond accents before opening into a fine articulated box-link band. The 1920s were the decade when Swiss watchmakers refined the wristwatch as a jeweled object, and Movado's early calibers rank among the most respected of that generation. On the wrist it lies flat and close, reading entirely as a diamond bracelet until the cream dial beneath the domed sapphire crystal comes into view.
