Rolex's Lady Datejust in eighteen-karat gold is a well-documented workhorse of fine watchmaking, but the burl wood dial, a genuine factory option Rolex introduced on the Datejust in the late 1970s and produced in limited quantities, makes this example uncommon. Its self-winding chronometer movement carries official Swiss certification, tested in five positions and across three temperatures by COSC, the independent Swiss chronometer institute. At twenty-six millimeters the case is scaled for a narrow wrist and sits cleanly under a shirt cuff. It comes complete with its original Rolex presentation box, warranty and chronometer certificate, booklet, hangtag, and both wax seals.
